Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral therapy services. The BT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by promoting skill development and positive behavior change in a supportive environment. Duties Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote independence. Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions accurately and consistently. Support the development and execution of individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention. Engage clients in teaching sessions, social skills training, and other therapeutic activities tailored to their needs. Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency across treatment settings. Monitor client safety during sessions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and behavior management techniques. Document session notes, treatment updates, and other medical records as required by regulatory standards. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable. Experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and implementing behavior management strategies is beneficial. Familiarity with medical terminology, treatment plans, and medical documentation practices is a plus. Background in special education or behavioral health can enhance effectiveness in this role. Strong data collection skills and attention to detail are essential for tracking client progress accurately. Compassionate approach to working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities is required.
