We are looking to fill multiple positions that include after-school and evening positions. Part-time and full-time options. At Waypoint, we go beyond traditional ABA. Our approach is guided by respect for the individual, consent, and responsiveness to trauma. We help each client grow in a safe, supportive environment.
Position Highlights:
Ideal for candidates living in or near the Arlington/South FTW area. Candidates who already hold an active RBT certification at the time of hire are eligible for a $250 RBT Certification Bonus . Candidates who need to obtain their certification may receive reimbursement for RBT exam fees after successfully earning their RBT. Mileage reimbursement
Required Skills:
Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA Knowledge of ABA principles Implement ABA principles Collect and record data on client behavior Strong clinical skills and DTT skills Strong computer and documentation skills Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions Assist clients with daily living skills and social interactions Build meaningful rapport with clients, families, and team members Collaborate with supervisors and clinical staff Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally Friendly, self-motivated, and team-oriented Passionate about working with children with special needs
Physical Requirements:
Ability to be on your feet for extended periods Ability to move in a variety of ways to include: bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, sitting on the floor, stooping, reaching, and lifting Ability to respond physically to the needs of clients who may require treatment on the floor, may require physical manipulation, may require toileting and feeding support, may need to be quickly pursued for safety, may be highly physically active, and may engage in physical aggression. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Job Hazards:
This role has the potential to have exposure to human waste, bodily fluids, and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable This role has the potential to be exposed to diseases or infections, the possibility of physical harm due to physical aggression or physical management of clients, and contact with household cleaning supplies.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred Experience with ABA and direct therapy RBT preferred but not required Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Strong observational and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others
