Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral health services. The RBT will work closely with individuals, primarily children, with developmental disabilities such as autism, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by supporting their growth, independence, and well-being through evidence-based practices. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles. Collect and record data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and hygiene support. Support clients in developing communication skills and social interactions through teaching strategies. Collaborate with the team to develop and update care plans tailored to each client's needs. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Apply behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Work directly with clients during therapy sessions in various settings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards related to medical records and client information. Qualifications Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain certification. Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities. Knowledge of behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with assisting clients with ADLs and teaching functional skills. Understanding of medical terminology, documentation, care plans, and medical records management. Ability to collect accurate data for progress tracking and reporting purposes. Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in patient care. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines. Prior experience in special education or behavioral health settings is preferred but not required.
