Job Description

Lighthouse Therapy Center of Fort Worth - RBT/Behavior Technician Come join us on our journey to help those riding the waves of autism! Lighthouse Therapy Center of Fort Worth is seeking individuals with a passion for helping others in the autism community! This role consists of providing in-center, in-home, and/or in-community Applied Behavior Analysis therapy (ABA) to individuals with autism. This is for a full-time role. This role is for an individual enrolled into their master degree or BCBA certificate hours and further their career as a BCBA. Applicants must have an active Registered Behavior Technician certification. Roles are available in-center in Fort Worth and in-home in the greater Fort Worth area. Daily shifts vary from 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, or 10am-6pm Therapists will assist in the implementation of behavior treatment plans utilizing 1:1 applied behavior analysis principles in the home, clinic, and community settings. Staff is responsible for, but not limited to, implementing behavior prevention/intervention plans, collecting daily acquisition and behavior data, assisting in the development of program materials, taking client specific information through practice management software, and attending and participating in team meetings. Lead Therapists have the extra tasks of training new therapists, assisting BCBAs in assessments, report writing, BIP creation and edits, etc.
Responsibilities:
Utilize ABA strategies to provide 1:1 care to clients Use appropriate clinical procedures based on each client's treatment plan Follow all components of behavior intervention plans in order to properly assist with reduction of challenging behavior Implement the changes and adaptations to treatment plans and behavior intervention plans set forth by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collect ongoing data on client's performance throughout sessions Write objective summaries including, but not limited to: targets, progress, caregiver participation and areas of need in daily therapy notes Effectively communicate with families regarding their child's progress with guidance from their clinician supervisor/BCBA Attend and participate in team meetings for each client with BCBA, parents, and additional team members Collaborate with educators and other outside support staff in accordance with guidance from their clinical supervisor/BCBA Assist in ongoing parent and caretaker trainings Maintain and acquire continued technical knowledge through attendance in trainings
Qualifications Required:
Ability to work in a center-based environment, client's home, or community environment Experience with or desire to learn more about Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is required Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors is required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management skills Strong learning skills & ability to learn remotely if necessary Registered Behavior Technician certification (RBT) Access to a motor vehicle/transportation The following training/certificates must be obtained prior to employment: Bachelor Degree Enrollment into an ABA based master degree program and/or BCBA certification program Driver's license Criminal background check CPR/First Aid (company will pay to complete)
Clinical Skills and Procedures:
Ability to implement ABA procedures, receive and apply constructive feedback, and respond according to set protocols Ability to willingness to learn how to assist BCBAs in conducting assessments, writing reports, writing BIPs, training BTs/RBTs, etc Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA laws and regulations Commitment to professional actions and cultural competence Be able to run short distances, sit on the floor, bend down, squat and kneel Must have access to own vehicles for transportation to client homes or other locations throughout area of service delivery
