This role involves providing evidence-based behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), experience working with children, and a passion for helping clients achieve their goals through personalized care plans. As an RBT, you will work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote positive behavior change and support overall well-being. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, feeding, and hygiene to promote independence Use behavior management techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors Document all sessions thoroughly in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency in treatment approaches Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant privacy laws Qualifications Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) CPR certified or willing to get certified Experience working with children with autism Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and data collection methods Familiarity with assisting clients with ADLs and implementing individualized care plans Ability to work effectively with people with developmental disabilities in a patient and empathetic manner Excellent teaching skills and the ability to adapt interventions based on individual client needs Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines Bachelor's degree strongly preferred This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring behavioral support while working in a supportive team environment.
