$13.00 - $15.00+ per hour for Full Time Employees Job description: Behavior Technician TAG Learning Center Join Our Team! TAG Learning Center partners with families of children on the Autism Spectrum and other related diagnosis to provide play-based, need-focused high-quality ABA Therapy to children ages 2-12. About You:
Compassionate, patient and flexible A positive attitude, willingness to take direction, and ability to accept feedback Must be able to effectively receive and communicate detailed information, both oral and written Excellent time management, punctuality, and readiness to work! Absenteeism is not possible with our population of children, so consistent attendance is critical. Motivated by the impact you can make in the life of a child Behavior technicians play a crucial role in providing individualized support and care to individuals with autism. This position involves working closely with clients to implement behavior management strategies, assist with daily living activities, and promote social skills development. Responsibilities Assist individuals with autism in daily living activities, promoting independence and self-sufficiency. Implement behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors and reinforce positive behaviors. Provide one-on-one therapy using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services Communicate regularly with staff and supervisors to ensure effective treatment and progress Follow written and oral instructions with accuracy Learn to follow data collection procedures with accuracy and demonstrate basic understanding of technology (tablets, computers) or show ability to be trained in their use. Have a High School diploma (or equivalent) higher education welcomed and will receive higher compensation. Must operate ethically and protect client confidentiality at all times. Physically able to stand on feet for a minimum of 15 minutes, and lift up to 50 pounds and be in overall good health Experience Previous experience in patient care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of special education practices will be beneficial in supporting clients' learning needs effectively. Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with clients, families, and other professionals in the field.
