Registered Behavior Technician LunABA Health Richmond, TX Job Details Part-time $23 - $25 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications RBT Certification HIPAA Assisting with ADLs Working with children Direct support Full Job Description Job Overview Zip Code 77469 Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will work closely with clients and their families to implement individualized care plans, promote positive behavior change, and support skill development. Your dedication will help empower clients to achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life through evidence-based practices rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA). This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health and special education. Duties Implement personalized behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using ABA techniques. Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, fostering independence. Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively. Support teaching sessions that develop communication, social skills, academic readiness, and life skills tailored to each individual's needs. Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Communicate regularly with team members and families to ensure consistency of care and share progress updates. Qualifications Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children, or special education is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training for all new team members. Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work patiently and compassionately with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and confidentiality requirements such as HIPAA. Demonstrated commitment to patient care, safety, and ethical practices in behavioral health settings. RBT Certification High school diploma or equivalent; ongoing education in related fields is a plus.
