This role is essential in providing support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly focusing on children. The ideal candidate will work on Saturdays and Sundays, assisting with implementing behavioral therapy techniques to enhance the quality of life for the client. Duties Provide behavioral therapy and support to children with developmental disabilities, including autism. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and well-being. Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies tailored to individual needs. Engage in teaching activities that foster learning and development. Collect data on client progress and behavior management for ongoing assessments. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans and medical records, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective communication regarding client needs. Skills Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or special education needs. Proficiency in behavioral health practices and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and record-keeping processes. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding in challenging situations. Knowledge of data collection methods related to behavioral analysis and client progress tracking.
