Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality patient care while collecting data to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Provide direct support to children and individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in various settings (home initially, then clinic and school-based). Collect and record data on patient behaviors and responses to interventions accurately. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by ensuring confidentiality of patient information. Document medical records (medical notes) and maintain accurate medical documentation related to patient care. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for clients. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to behavioral health and special education. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Experience working with children, especially those with autism or other developmental disabilities. Proficient in data collection methods and analysis for tracking patient progress. Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and records management. Receptive to feedback and flexible Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in behavioral health care. Employees will receive a pay raise after 90 days of employment should all contractual duties be met and further employment is expected.
