Join Autism FIRST as an in-home, part-time Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Newport News, VA, where you'll support children and families in your local community while working alongside a collaborative team focused on high-quality care and continuous learning. In this role, you'll deliver 1:1 ABA therapy in-home and in community settings while following individualized treatment plans under BCBA guidance and tracking progress through accurate data.
Pay:
$24
Schedule Availability Requirement :
Part-Time, Monday
- Friday between 4pm
- 7pm (schedule varies within this window based on client needs) and occasional weekends as needed
Required Training Availability :
All new hires must be available for two weeks of onboarding training, which includes: Virtual sessions from 9am to 1pm In-person shadowing from 1pm to 4pm or 4pm to 7pm Why Autism FIRST? Paid Training

Responsibilities Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in-home and approved community settings Implement behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs under BCBA supervision Follow individualized treatment plans Collect and record accurate session data Maintain HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality Communicate effectively with supervisors and families Attend scheduled supervision, training, and staff meetings Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year of ABA experience preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness to travel locally between clinic and in-home sessions CPR certification required

TB test required Proof of auto insurance required Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and respond quickly for client safety Ability to pass background screening Active RBT certification, strongly preferred Enrollment in BCBA or BCaBA coursework is a plus
