Job Description

Bothell, WA $58,000 - $62,000 per year (DOE) Full-Time | Salaried | Year-Round About the Role Some students need more than a traditional classroom can provide. At APPLE Academy, our team supports elementary students with autism who require intensive behavioral and communication support to succeed. Using compassionate, assent-based ABA and Skill-Based Treatment , we help students develop the skills they need to thrive in school and life. Each classroom serves no more than five students and is staffed by a collaborative team that includes a BCBA, Special Education Teacher, and Behavior Technicians , ensuring strong clinical support and consistency for both students and staff. This role is best suited for professionals who enjoy active, hands-on work with students , collaborative problem-solving, and helping children develop communication and regulation skills in moments when learning is most needed. APPLE Academy is a Non-Public Agency (NPA) elementary program serving students with autism and related developmental differences who have not been successful in traditional public school placements, even with supports.

What You'll Do Provide 1:1, 2:1, and small-group instructional and behavioral support for elementary students with autism Implement academic and behavioral programs developed by the BCBA and Special Educator Support students in developing communication, emotional regulation, and learning readiness skills Assist students during periods of dysregulation using assent-based, trauma-assumed strategies Collect and record data to track student progress Participate in daily team communication, debriefs, and ongoing professional development Help maintain a classroom environment where students are Happy, Relaxed, and Engaged (HRE) About the Students We Serve Because APPLE Academy is an NPA placement , students may arrive with significant learning and behavioral support needs , including periods of dysregulation or challenging behavior, particularly: when first enrolling during transitions or schedule changes while learning new skills Our program is designed specifically to support these needs through small classroom teams, strong BCBA supervision, and structured skill-based treatment plans . Compensation & Benefits Salary:

Schedule This is a year-round position following the APPLE Academy work calendar. Staff work scheduled days including professional development days when students may not be present.
