In this rewarding role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, support skill development, and promote positive behavior change. You'll work closely with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to foster growth, independence, and confidence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in behavioral health and applied behavior analysis (ABA) while providing compassionate care in a supportive environment. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene to enhance independence Collect accurate data on client behaviors and progress to inform ongoing treatment strategies Support teaching sessions that focus on communication, social skills, and functional life skills tailored to each client's needs Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with supervisors and team members to adapt interventions as needed for optimal outcomes Foster a safe, positive environment that encourages learning, engagement, and emotional well-being Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis principles Experience working with children or individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in achieving greater independence Excellent data collection skills to track behavior patterns and treatment effectiveness Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and confidentiality requirements under HIPAA Effective teaching and communication skills to engage clients and support their learning process Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude essential for working with diverse populations in behavioral health settings Embark on a fulfilling career path where your dedication helps transform lives!
