Biomedical Equipment Technician II Goldbelt Frontier, LLC vision insurance, paid time off, 401(k) United States, California, Herlong 74 Currant Street (Show on map) Apr 12, 2026 Overview Goldbelt Frontier is committed to providing support for a range of health technology management operations, projects, and services across the government and commercial industries. Many senior project managers and business analysts are subject matter experts in their respective fields. Frontier understands how to support multiple stakeholders to aid in developing and implementing national policies, strategies, and doctrine.
Summary:
A BMET, who usually has a two-year degree or higher in Medical Equipment Technology, has good knowledge of schematics and works independently on repairs, safety testing, and preventive maintenance (PM). Maintains records, writes reports, and coordinates outside repairs. Has knowledge of policies, practices, procedures, and types of equipment.
Duty Hours:
40hrs/wk, Monday-Friday-Thurs. Sierra Army Depot works a 4-day, 10 hr./day schedule.
Responsibilities Essential Job Functions:
Ensure that the biomedical equipment is in compliance with Federal, State, and/or applicable regulatory requirements; implements quality control standards and maintains budget and vendor relationships. Perform biomedical equipment maintenance and repair. Perform maintenance cycles, to include but not limited to calibrating, repairing, inspecting and overhauling military inventory of various types of medical equipment Perform technical inspections of new, used or reconditioned Army medical equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices and systems Determine associated support items of equipment in order to perform scheduled services and maintenance repairs and calibration; supply support and provisioning requirements; and training requirements Prepare necessary support documentation and purchase requisitions of parts. Perform other related duties, as assigned or required. Travel as required, estimated 15%.
Qualifications Necessary Skills & Knowledge:
Excellent communications skills, both verbally and in writing Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to speak, read, and understand English Familiar with the biomedical maintenance field and its concepts, practices, and procedure. Possess the ability to pass a NACI background check and acquire a CAC. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds of equipment; to push/pull equipment carts; and to kneel, stand, bend, and reach during equipment repair Willingness and ability to frequently travel.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum three (3) or more years of experience as a BMET As a minimum, BMET's shall be a graduate of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers Course or certified through the International Certification Commission (CBET) or have at least earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Medical Equipment Technology. A background check will be conducted. Possess the ability to pass a NACI background investigation and acquire a CAC. Possess the ability to pass a NCIC investigation and scored credit check per federal and contractual requirements. Must be a US citizen.
