The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with equipment repair, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service in a healthcare environment. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with medical devices. Calibrate equipment according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of service activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Provide field service support for medical devices, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with healthcare staff to understand equipment needs and address any concerns. Use hand tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks. Assist in the training of staff on proper use and maintenance of biomedical equipment. Qualifications A two-year Associate Degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training A minimum of three years of hospital or healthcare experience performing medical equipment maintenance Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair, particularly in a biomedical or healthcare setting. Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and its maintenance requirements is preferred. Strong understanding of schematics and ability to read technical drawings. Experience with CMMS for tracking maintenance activities is advantageous. Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment for repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare professionals. BMET Certification a plus but not required Additional Qualifications Understanding of regulatory agencies' requirements, industry regulatory requirements and International Standard Organization standards.
