Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Biomedical Technician and become a vital contributor to maintaining the highest standards of medical equipment performance and safety. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining a wide range of biomedical devices used in healthcare settings. Your expertise will ensure that life-saving equipment functions reliably, supporting healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care. This position offers an engaging environment where your mechanical knowledge and technical skills will directly impact patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Duties Perform routine preventive maintenance and detailed repairs on biomedical equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety. Calibrate medical devices accurately according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) documentation to troubleshoot complex issues. Conduct field service visits to hospitals, clinics, or healthcare facilities to diagnose and resolve equipment problems on-site. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking and compliance purposes. Use hand tools and computer hardware to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment components efficiently. Follow safety protocols during all maintenance procedures to ensure a secure working environment. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals. Experience with OEM parts, calibration procedures, and equipment repair techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools, computer hardware, and CMMS software for maintenance management. Knowledge of medical device electronics (DME - Durable Medical Equipment) standards and troubleshooting methods. Ability to perform field service tasks independently while adhering to safety regulations. Familiarity with electrical systems, mechanical components, and basic troubleshooting of computer hardware related to medical devices. Excellent communication skills for documenting work accurately and collaborating with healthcare staff.
