Full Job Description Bargaining Unit:

$34.67/hour + DOE Summary Provides maintenance, repair, preventive and installation services for biomedical equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Repairs, tests, calibrates, and inspects new, existing or repaired non-life safety biomedical equipment as required by relevant standards and in conformance with regulatory requirements. Maintains and updates inventory of the facility's biomedical equipment; maintains an inventory of replacement parts and standby equipment to minimize disruption of patient care, under direction of supervisor. Performs scheduled inspections and tests necessary to maintain conformance to required standards and regulatory requirements. Assists in preparing related documentation; may participate in investigation of incidents involving biomedical equipment. Provides support to ensure that clinical equipment meets safety requirements and safety checks loaner equipment prior to use in the District facilities. Assists in training personnel on safe use and care of equipment. Assists in providing emergency service for biomedical equipment classified as life-safety equipment. May be called in to work nights and weekends. May be responsible for reviewing work performed by outside service vendors. Stays current on manufacturers safety protocols and training as required for maintenance on newly acquired equipment. Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior. Complies with System policies and procedures. Other duties as may be assigned.
