Job Description

At St. Luke's, we are proud to support the next generation of healthcare providers through innovative, hands-on training. We are seeking a part-time Simulation Technician to join our team and help students build exceptional clinical skills. In this role, you will manage and operate advanced simulation technology, creating lifelike patient scenarios that prepare learners for real-world patient care across a variety of clinical learning environments. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys technology, problem-solving, and collaborating with educators in a dynamic healthcare training environment.
Schedule:
Part-time, Generally, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; hours may vary based on simulation schedules and training needs
Travel:
Occasional travel to various St. Luke's locations as needed. Twice yearly, this role will travel to Wood River for approximately 3-4 days at a time to support simulation coverage.
Hourly Rate:
$27-$32 depending on experience What You Can Expect Operate and control high-fidelity, software-driven manikins during simulation scenarios Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot simulation equipment and supporting software Serve as the "voice of the patient" to enhance realism and engagement during training sessions Coordinate and schedule simulation sessions, ensuring equipment, technology, and materials are fully prepared Order, track, and maintain simulation supplies and inventory Collaborate closely with instructors, educators, and team members to deliver seamless, high-quality learning experiences Support simulation activities at multiple St. Luke's locations as needed
Qualifications Education:
Associate degree or equivalent experience in a technical, healthcare, or IT-related field
Experience:
2+ years of experience in technology support, equipment management, simulation operations, or IT troubleshooting Preferred Qualifications Experience with simulation software or other advanced technical equipment Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Comfortable working in a collaborative, education-focused environment Ability to travel occasionally to support simulation training needs across the health system
