As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of various medical equipment. Your expertise in schematics, equipment repair, and mechanical knowledge will be essential in ensuring the proper functioning of medical devices. Responsibilities The Field Service Technician is responsible for the on-site service, asset management, customer relations, and repairs of each scheduled service. The technician would report to the respective region management team for their service duties. The technician will also work with the Field Service Coordinator to schedule services, along with performing skilled work on medical equipment such as preventive maintenance, repair, safety testing, recording functional test data, and building the service history on asset management software. Essential Duties
  • Responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, safety testing, and functional testing on various types of medical equipment while in a service van or on-site.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely completion of jobs and maintaining a high level of work quality.
  • Use product service manuals to perform repairs and preventive maintenance tasks to OEM standards.
  • Responsible for performing device testing and documenting all results according to company, customer, and original equipment manufacturers' standards.
  • Work to maintain a clean and safe work environment by performing regular cleaning of work areas.
  • Coordinate with Procurement Manager to ensure timely availability of parts and products needed to perform on-site PM and repair services.
  • Assist with coordination of regular preventative maintenance and repair needs for company-assigned van.
  • Ensure that assigned test and calibration equipment is calibrated according to company policies and procedures.
  • Function as depot biomed when not actively working on field service projects.
  • Assist with the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements
  • This position will require up to 60% travel
  • Experience servicing various types of medical equipment is preferred
  • Exhibit good work habits through organization and standardization of work area and routines
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work as needed to meet customer demands in a timely manner
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with both internal and external parties
  • Demonstrated competency in high-level biomedical equipment technician services
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills and mindset of continuous improvement
  • Desire and ability to learn and understand how various types of medical equipment work
  • Valid Driver's Licenses
  • Ability to effectively communicate with personnel across all levels of organization.
