Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Biomedical Equipment Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of medical equipment across healthcare facilities. Duties Conduct routine inspections, calibration, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of biomedical equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with medical devices, utilizing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines and technical documentation. Perform equipment repairs efficiently, replacing faulty components with hand tools or computer hardware as needed to restore functionality. Maintain accurate records of service activities, including maintenance logs and repair histories within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment needs and provide field service support during installations or urgent repairs. Calibrate sensitive devices to ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Interpret schematics and mechanical drawings to identify issues and execute precise repairs or adjustments. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in equipment repair, calibration, and maintenance of biomedical devices. Familiarity with OEM specifications, schematics, and troubleshooting procedures for medical equipment. Experience working in field service environments, providing on-site technical support across multiple locations. Proficiency with hand tools, computer hardware, and CMMS software to document service activities accurately. Strong understanding of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) standards and safety protocols. Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical diagrams effectively for troubleshooting purposes. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clinical teams and document work thoroughly. electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical repair: 7 years (Required) technical expertise in sterilizer systems : 3 years (Preferred) Steris and/or Getinge equipment: 3 years (Preferred) troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining clinical: 3 years (Preferred) Willingness to travel: 75% (Preferred)
