Job Description Nevada State University invites applications for the position ofSimulation and Lab Technician. The Simulation and Lab Technicianwill serve the Nevada State University Health Science Lab byproviding lab resources and Simulation technology support thatsupport the education of nursing students as well as any externalusers. This position will provide lab support for setup/breakdownof low fidelity physical assessment and skills labs, run highfidelity simulations, as well as assist to maintain scheduling,inventory tracking, and ordering.

Primary Responsibilities:
Under the limited direction of the Simulation Lab Coordinator andHealth Science Lab Director, incumbent supports lab operations forall nursing lab activities for the School of Nursing and ExternalUsers; this includes but not limited to the following: Coordinating and organizing all teaching sessions. Coordinating and organizing all high-stakes examinationsessions. Set-up and break-down of physical assessment and skillslabs. Assists with maintaining inventory and par levels, fordisposable and non-disposable supplies so they are ready for use atall times. Pre-set/stock all labs and simulation areas so supplies areavailable for faculty. Operates and maintains teaching session/exam equipment (A/Vsoftware, cameras, video recorders, manikins, task trainers) andsupplies. Assists Coordinator and Director to coordinate, prepare, andmaintain schedules, equipment, and other required resources for allexam sessions and all teaching sessions. Assists in overseeing the management and archiving of old videofiles and exam and evaluation data to the servers, including paperand digital forms. Troubleshoots A/V equipment when problems arise. Facilitates repair and maintenance of laboratory equipment whenneeded. Provide support for high-fidelity simulations, including butnot limited to: Provides technology support for simulation sessions includingA/V system, manikin, task trainers, video recorders, and computersystems Coordinates with faculty to ensure simulation scenarios areaccurate Assist to ensure Faculty & Learners are oriented tocapabilities, limitations, safety & proper use of allsimulation manikins, trainers, AV, and Health Science Labequipment.
