Under minimal supervision, is responsible for service on selected high risk and life support equipment as described in the URMC Environment of Care 'Medical Equipment Management Plan'. Position involves preventive maintenance, safety inspection, calibration, installing, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electromechanical and electronic devices, training peers and other technicians. Position requires servicing equipment in a hospital environment. Individual must be willing to work in close proximity to patients and staff in Intensive Care Units, Operating Room settings, Patient Rooms etc. Position must have the ability to interface with all the members of the Clinical Engineering team effectively as well as clinical staff. Individual must have excellent customer service skills. Salary $28.50-$39.91 an hour The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. AAS degree in Electronic Technology with particular emphasis on Biomedical Engineering Technology and Electronic Test Equipment maintenance, calibration and repair preferred; or equivalent experience

License/Certification Required:

None Skills:

Basic computer skills necessary; Advanced networking and system integrations a plus. Able to read schematics and mechanical diagrams
