Job Description

Overview Repair Authority is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our growing team in Strongsville, Ohio. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and maintaining durable medical equipment, including oxygen concentrators, portable oxygen concentrators (POCs), CPAP machines, and other respiratory devices. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving mechanical and electrical problems, and learning new skills. Previous medical equipment repair experience is not required —we are willing to train the right candidate with strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting abilities, and basic computer skills. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and test durable medical equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and quality testing to ensure equipment meets manufacturer and company standards. Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble medical equipment using hand and power tools. Read and follow technical manuals, work instructions, and repair procedures. Identify defective components and replace parts as needed. Document repairs, testing results, and service information accurately using company software. Maintain an organized and clean workstation while following all safety procedures. Collaborate with Quality Control and Warehouse teams to ensure equipment is processed efficiently. Meet daily production and quality expectations while maintaining attention to detail. Participate in ongoing training and cross-training opportunities. Requirements Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment. Experience using hand tools and power tools. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software systems. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Experience repairing electronics, automotive equipment, appliances, industrial equipment, small engines, or medical equipment is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, and pull throughout an 8-10 hour shift. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that is not climate controlled. Manual dexterity to safely operate hand tools and repair equipment.
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
