Primarily during active dialysis treatment hours About Us Universal Dialysis Center is a modern, independently owned outpatient dialysis clinic dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a friendly, team-oriented environment. As a growing facility, we value teamwork, innovation, and maintaining the highest standards of equipment reliability and patient safety. We are seeking a part-time Dialysis Biomedical Technician to provide onsite support during dialysis operations. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who enjoys troubleshooting problems in real time and working directly alongside clinical staff to ensure treatments run smoothly. Retired dialysis biomedical technicians are encouraged to apply. Position Overview Unlike traditional biomedical positions that focus primarily on after-hours maintenance, this role is designed to provide an onsite technical presence during dialysis treatments. The goal is to quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues as they occur, minimizing disruptions to patient care. We currently work with an experienced biomedical technician who performs maintenance and provides additional support. This position will complement that role and share responsibilities as needed for preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency response. Responsibilities Provide onsite support during active dialysis treatments. Troubleshoot and repair dialysis machines and related equipment in real time. Respond promptly to machine alarms, treatment interruptions, and equipment malfunctions. Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections. Maintain documentation of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance. Assist with calibration, testing, and equipment upgrades. Support maintenance and monitoring of the AquaBoss RO water treatment system. Ensure compliance with manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements. Coordinate closely with nursing and clinical staff to minimize treatment disruptions. Work collaboratively with our existing biomedical technician to ensure comprehensive equipment coverage. Equipment Experience Preferred Experience with any of the following is highly desirable: Fresenius dialysis machines AquaBoss RO water treatment systems Dialysis water treatment equipment Medical device troubleshooting and repair Preventive maintenance programs CMMS documentation systems Qualifications Biomedical equipment technician experience. Dialysis equipment experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Relevant biomedical certifications.
