Responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of medical equipment, including diagnostic machines, patient monitors, surgical instruments, and other healthcare technology. Duties include troubleshooting technical issues, performing preventative maintenance, calibrating devices, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and meets regulatory standards. Provides timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime, documents maintenance activities, and maintains clear communication with clinical staff regarding equipment status, repairs, and user training. Collaborates with manufacturers and vendors for parts, software updates, and technical support. Reads and interprets manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams to diagnose faults and implement solutions. Stays current on industry best practices, safety guidelines, and compliance requirements. May assist with installation of new equipment, perform quality assurance checks, and participate in inventory management. Requires a strong mechanical and technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, customer service orientation, and adherence to safety procedures. Experience with medical devices and relevant certifications are preferred. Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a healthcare setting are essential.
