Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Equipment Technician (Customer Service Technician) to join the fast growing Mountain Medical Equipment team! In this position you will be responsible for the delivery, set up, pick up, and maintenance of medical equipment. Delivery Technicians will instruct patients and/or caregivers concerning proper use and maintenance of equipment. Technician is also responsible as needed for providing customer service/trouble shooting over the phone and in-person to patients. Technicians are also responsible to maintain, clean, and stock items in the warehouse, as well as maintaining their work van. We primarily provide medical equipment to hospice patients. Equipment such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, and oxygen are very common items we set up. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Available for on-call assignments as needed in a rotation Completes route and paperwork in Application phone Delivers, sets up and maintains equipment at the delivery address using company vehicle Educates the patient and/or caregiver on the safe use and maintenance of the delivered items Maintains assigned company vehicle in a clean and safe working condition Performs other duties as assigned Employment is contingent on Background investigation (company-wide) Drug screen (when applicable for the position) Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position) Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent, required Delivery experience, preferred Driving experience, required Experience working in healthcare, home health or the medical field, preferred Strong customer service background Skills, Knowledge And Abilities Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME), preferred Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information Mapping skills including ability to plan time-saving delivery routes Sense of urgency and responsiveness to customers Work independently and as part of a team Physical Demands Available for on-call assignments as needed in a rotation (after business hours &/or weekends) Requires lifting of 50-75 lbs several times per day Requires contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens Extensive travel via company vehicle required to patient's homes and/or delivery address for set-ups and recurring deliveries Requires the ability to load/unload and lift oxygen concentrators, oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, hospital beds, commodes and other home medical equipment and supplies in and out of location, warehouse, company vehicle, patient residence and/or delivery address Benefits Company delivery vehicle with fuel card for deliveries/pick ups Company cell phone for work purposes Growth opportunities within the company Employee Recognition program
