Job Description
Provide on-site clinical and technical support during surgical procedures using the Synaptive system. Support surgeons and perioperative teams with equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and procedural guidance. Lead clinical evaluations and assist with workflow optimization in the operating room. Ensure Synaptive equipment is properly handled, positioned, and fully operational before and during procedures. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and OR protocols. Communicate effectively with surgeons, nursing staff, sterile processing teams, and hospital leadership. Document surgical case activity and report post-procedure technical or operational concerns. Provide detailed written documentation following each supported procedure. Record service details including date, time, procedure, operating room, and equipment utilized. Document technical issues encountered and resolutions implemented during procedures. Confirm and document removal of Synaptive equipment from the surgical suite after procedures. Train physicians, nurses, and OR staff on the safe and effective use of Synaptive technology. Deliver ongoing clinical education on system capabilities, best practices, and procedural applications. Maintain current knowledge of Synaptive technology updates, software enhancements, and procedural advancements. Troubleshoot electromechanical medical devices, surgical robotics, and imaging/navigation systems, coordinating advanced technical support when needed.

n/a Bachelor's degree in nursing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related healthcare/scientific field required. 1 year of experience in medical device support, operating room (OR) clinical support, surgical technology, or clinical applications. Prior neurosurgical, spine, navigation, robotics, or advanced imaging support experience preferred. Current healthcare licensure or certification, if applicable. Current BLS certification preferred. Bachelors or better in Biomedical Engineering or related field. Bachelors or better in Electrical Engineering or related field. Bachelors or better in Nursing or related field.
