Job Description UW Medical Center-Northwest - Clinical Engineering has an outstanding opportunity for a Biomedical Electronics Technician 1.
WORK SCHEDULE 40
hours per week Day Shift
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Biomedical Equipment Technician 1 receives on-the-job training while performing entry-level biomedical equipment support functions including troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing, calibrating, and testing a variety of biomedical instruments, apparatus, systems and equipment
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist senior technicians with inspecting and installing medical and related technical equipment in medical and research facilities Learn to properly service multiple specific types of equipment and apparatus such as patient monitors, electrocardiographs, blood gas analyzers, x-ray units, defibrillators, electrosurgical units, anesthesia apparatus, pacemakers, blood pressure transducers, spirometers, sterilizers, diathermy equipment and other related technical equipment Learn to repair, calibrate, and maintain specific types of medical equipment and how to properly maintain required documentation Learn to effectively communicate with customers keeping them fully informed of the status of repairs Learn to properly safety test medical equipment to ensure patient and staff safety with regard to electrical or mechanical hazards Learn to consult with medical or research staff to ascertain that the equipment functions properly and safely
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
An Associate's Degree in Biomedical Technology OR Equivalent education/experience OR Certification by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) as a candidate

$73,356.00 annual
