Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Technician to join our Clinical Engineering / Biomed Department in a teaching/Magnet facility environment. This is an onsite role responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of biomedical equipment to support safe and efficient patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hospital-based biomedical experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff and engineering teams. Weekend work and floating within the hospital may be required as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Associate s Degree (AA) or equivalent from a 2-year college/technical school Minimum 5 years of biomedical technician experience in a hospital setting Strong knowledge of medical equipment, electronics, and troubleshooting Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and service documentation Basic computer skills Knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred Qualifications:
OR/Surgery equipment experience (required for early shift role) Experience with complex biomedical systems and life-support equipment Advanced troubleshooting and component-level repair experience
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot biomedical equipment Perform preventive maintenance and inspections Work with schematics, blueprints, and service documentation Support life-support and clinical/OR equipment Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards Collaborate with clinical staff and engineering teams
Additional Details:
Onsite position Clinical Engineering / Biomed Department Teaching/Magnet facility environment Weekend work required as needed Floating within the hospital required
