PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Serve as campus registrar assistant and maintain permanent student records.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Clerical/secretarial skills Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records Ability to use personal computer and software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Two years clerical or secretarial experience preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Serve as registrar assistant for the campus. Maintain student records both current and archival. Perform student enrollment and/or withdrawal and transfer procedures. Update PEIMS files. Work closely with counselors concerning student schedules and other functions. Serve as contact person between high school and computer service center. Respond to mail including but not limited to transcript and student record requests. Update and maintain forms pertinent to registrar functions. Maintain records including filing. Update student addresses, phone numbers, etc. Provide transcripts and/or recommendation letters for recruiters and other approved agencies. Serve as notary public for the school. Assist attendance office in student follow-up, pulling reports, (Attendance Error Scan, Transfer Class Attendance to Daily Attendance, Daily Attendance Error Scan). Regular attendance; must be willing and able to report to work at designated site on a regular daily basis according to established work schedule. Comply with all district and local campus policy and regulations. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal.

Personal computer, printer, calculator, copier, fax machine, and shredder and other general office equipment
WORKING CONDITIONS
Mental Demands:
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under stress.
Physical Demands:
Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; work with frequent interruptions; moderate lifting; limited climbing (ladder). School district employees may be required to work from home and use their personal electronic devices.
