1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Tech for a 13-week contract at a Level II Trauma Center in Montgomery, AL, requiring at least 1 year of interventional Cath Lab experience. Details 4-room cardiac cath lab at a 492-bed Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center Required case experience includes STEMI/NSTEMI, LHC/RHC, CHF, Angina, ACS, AFib, IABP/Impella, CTOs, staged/protected PCI, pericardiocentesis, and temp pacers EP procedures include pacemaker implants, MICRA, lead extractions/revisions, generator changes, and ablations (experience not required) Vascular procedures include peripheral cases and carotids (experience not required) PE procedures include Inari and EKOS (experience not required) Hybrid/structural procedures include Watchman, TAVR, and PFOs (experience not required) Daily caseload of approximately 20-25 patients Non-ICU patients recover in the CVR (Cardiovascular Recovery) area post-procedure

Cerner; hemodynamic monitoring via XPER (Philips);
PACS:
IntellaSpace; medication dispensing: Omnicell 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM, 36 hours per week Weekend on-call rotation every 4th weekend (Friday EOS through Monday at 6:30 AM) Weekday on-call approximately 1 night per week (EOS until 6:30 AM the following morning), with a possible late shift per week (these are not worked concurrently) 4-person call team consisting of 2 RNs and 2 Techs; 30-minute response time required No floating required Schedule cycle of 3-6 weeks; schedule and call assignments managed by the unit manager Requirements Minimum 1 year of interventional Cath Lab experience required (diagnostic-only experience is not sufficient) Current BLS and ACLS required; RCIS preferred but not required ARRT certification required AL state license required if applicable Proficiency with laser lead extraction, Rotablator, FFR, IVUS, Impella, IABP, EKOS, pacemaker procedures, scrub and pan table, Medrad, and groin site management and monitoring Must be available for on-call shifts, late shifts, and holiday coverage per facility policy Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible DOB (day and month) and a reference from a charge nurse or above within the past 12 months required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are accepted for this position Former permanent staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler at this facility Support staff includes a Cath Lab Coordinator/Supervisor, RT (24/7), Hospitalist (24/7), on-call Cardiologist, and RRT/Code Team Lead equipment is available for travelers who do not have their own New travelers and return travelers absent for 1+ year will receive 24 hours of classroom orientation followed by 1-3 shift on-unit orientation, with expectation of independent practice by the following Monday Orientation for rehires is determined based on last date of service at the facility One major and one minor seasonal holiday coverage required per facility policy RTO requests must be approved by the manager Green hospital scrubs are provided Call rooms are available and can be reserved through the manager Interviews are required; this facility does not utilize auto-offers
