The Echocardiographer, or cardiac sonographer, is responsible for performing echocardiographicexaminations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. This includes the use ofultrasound technology to create images of the heart and its structures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and information for the cardiologist.

Echocardiography Technologist Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical Diploma or Associates Degree in cardiovascular technology, diagnostic medical sonography with a focus in echocardiology, or other related field preferred.

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certification- preferred.

Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certification- preferred.

BLS/CPR required upon hire or obtain withinThis is a safety sensitive position. •Minimum requirements:

Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teamsStrong organizational skillsProficiency in computer softwareAble to multi-task efficiently.

Preferred requirements:

Minimum of two years cardiology experience a plus.

Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathologyProficiency with echocardiography equipment, including ultrasound machines and related software.
