Tech, where you'll play a vital role in supporting gastrointestinal procedures and patient care. This flexible position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with endoscopic and diagnostic evaluations that improve patient outcomes. MUST be available Fridays. Responsibilities Prepare procedure rooms with necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring all tools are sterile and ready for use. Assist physicians during gastrointestinal procedures by handling instruments, managing equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment through proper aseptic techniques. Operate and troubleshoot medical imaging devices used during procedures, such as endoscopes and related diagnostic tools. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, equipment sterilization, and patient interactions to support accurate medical records. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and uphold high standards of aseptic technique throughout all procedures. Support patient positioning, comfort, and safety before, during, and after procedures while demonstrating compassionate care. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to facilitate diagnostic evaluation processes and ensure seamless workflow. Qualifications Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to gastrointestinal procedures. Familiarity with medical terminology used in endoscopy and diagnostic evaluations. Experience with aseptic techniques to prevent infection during invasive procedures. Ability to operate medical imaging equipment associated with GI diagnostics. Basic understanding of anatomy related to the digestive system for accurate procedural support. Prior experience assisting in diagnostic evaluation or endoscopic procedures is preferred (Olympus tower exp, Bowie and ProVation software) Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely.
