Ultrasound Technologist - Cardiovascular Sonographer

We are a privately owned interventional cardiology clinic based in Mesa, AZ owned by Dr. Mohsen Sharifi. Dr Sharifi is Director of Arizona Cardiovascular Consultants & Vein Clinic. He is an Adjunct Professor at A.T.Still University in Mesa, Arizona. Dr. Sharifi is Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases, Vascular Medicine, Internal Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology. We are seeking someone who lives in or near the area of Prescott, Arizona as we see patients on Fridays who need studies completed. We are in search of a reliable ultrasound technician who has training and certifications in the following studies:

• Echocardiogram
• Lower Extremity Arterial Duplex
• Lower Extremity Venous Reflux
• DVT Upper and Lower Extremities
• Carotid Ultrasounds The ideal candidate would be someone who is multifaceted in human systems and can complete multiple different studies on a patient at once.

We are needing a technician in our MESA location but are willing to discuss more opportunities at our remote sites.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients
• Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images for interpretation by physicians
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
• Review patient medical history and communicate with healthcare team regarding any relevant information
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures performed
• Collaborate with physicians to interpret and analyze ultrasound images
• Provide preliminary findings to physicians for further evaluation and diagnosis
• Adhere to aseptic technique and infection control protocols

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
• Certification in Ultrasonography (ARDMS or CCI)
• Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
• Strong understanding of diagnostic evaluation techniques and procedures
• Experience with cardiac catheterization and echocardiography is preferred
• Knowledge of vital signs and physiology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills:

• Proficient in using ultrasound equipment and technology
• Ability to accurately interpret sonographic images
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations
