Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an RT - Vascular OBL (Radiologic Technologist specializing in Vascular and Interventional procedures). In this vital role, you will operate advanced imaging equipment within the Vascular Operating Room (OBL) to assist in minimally invasive procedures that diagnose and treat vascular conditions. Your expertise will directly contribute to patient care excellence, supporting complex interventions such as interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment dedicated to improving patient outcomes through precision imaging and procedural support. Responsibilities Prepare and operate imaging equipment for vascular and interventional procedures, ensuring optimal visualization of blood vessels and related structures. Assist physicians during procedures by monitoring vital signs, maintaining sterile technique, and providing real-time imaging guidance. Set up procedural trays, supplies, and contrast agents necessary for interventions such as angiograms, thrombectomies, or stent placements. Monitor patient status throughout procedures by assessing vital signs and physiological responses, promptly reporting any abnormalities. Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety during all invasive procedures. Document procedural details accurately in medical records, including images captured, contrast usage, and patient responses. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including interventional cardiology, radiology, emergency medicine, and trauma services to deliver seamless patient care in a Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center setting. Skills Proficiency in interventional radiology techniques and familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to vascular interventions. Experience operating cath lab equipment and performing diagnostic evaluations using sonography or other imaging modalities. Ability to interpret vital signs accurately and respond swiftly to emergent situations in high-pressure environments. Knowledge of aseptic techniques essential for invasive procedures; understanding of infection control protocols. Prior experience working within a Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center environment is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals during complex interventions.
