Cardiac Sonographer Pacific Central Coast Health Center - 3.6 Arroyo Grande, CA Job Details Full-time $60.24 - $89.60 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Collaborate with healthcare professionals Anatomy knowledge Outpatient Patient interaction Full Job Description Job Summary and Responsibilities In keeping with the Pacific Central Coast Health Centers healthcare philosophy, the Cardiac Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures at a technically proficient level. Positions and instructs the patient, operates ultrasound equipment and determines the technical factors for ultrasound procedures. Ensures correct marking/labeling of images, provide and confirm proper/adequate documentation of procedures to assist in diagnosis. Technically proficient in a variety of ultrasound procedures. Ability to train staff members to perform procedures requiring independent judgement. Position requires ingenuity and initiative for the diagnosis and therapy of disease.
Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
Three (3) years experience performing Ultrasound procedures in an outpatient facility if not RDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo (RDCSAE) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Demonstrates knowledge in both general and cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Must have working knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures. Must also know departmental protocols and procedures. Ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members, physicians and the patient population. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills. Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team-oriented environment.
