1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of cath lab experience for a 13-week acute care assignment in a combined Cath Lab & IR setting requiring call coverage and ARRT certification. Details Acute care hospital setting in a combined Cath Lab & IR unit with 3 suites Common procedures include left & right heart cath (interventional and diagnostic), EP studies, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, PICC line placements, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, pleurovacs, and other IR procedures Average of 8-10 cases per day Charting system is Cerner; equipment includes GE MacLab 10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Evening call required 1-2 times per week, beginning after the day shift ends (~5:00 PM) with a 30-minute response time Weekend call required two weekends per month (24-hour call, 6:30 AM - 6:30 AM) Holiday coverage required for one major and one minor holiday No floating required Requirements Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required; IR experience preferred Active ARRT (R), ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and Fluoroscopy License required Scrubbing experience required Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable — pending licenses are not accepted Driver's license required for consideration 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Additional Information Prior travel experience is preferred, though not required Orientation consists of 1 shift on the unit Scrubs are provided Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7 Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility associated with the health system within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside firms will be considered Local candidates are accepted
