Responsibilities Prepare and operate cardiopulmonary bypass equipment with precision, ensuring optimal functioning during surgical procedures. Collect and analyze data related to patient vitals, blood flow, and oxygenation levels to support clinical decision-making. Manage inventory of perfusion supplies and DME (durable medical equipment), maintaining accurate records and controlling stock levels. Autotransfusion services for any surgical procedure. Monitor patient vital signs continuously, adjusting perfusion parameters as needed to maintain stability. Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during procedures. Concise, clear communication with surgical teams. Document all procedures meticulously, including analysis of data collected and any medication or injection administration performed. This position is 100% on-site and employee must report to work at one of five hospitals in Los Angeles/Glendale, CA when scheduled. Work hours and on-site days may be subject to change depending on business needs.

Experience Minimum Field of Expertise:

Graduation from accredited perfusion training program, certified or certification-eligible by American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion, current CPR/BCLS, knowledge of universal precautions. Experience working within a hospital setting or acute care environment as a perfusionist or similar role. Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and sterile processing techniques. Certification in basic life support (BLS) or advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) is required or preferred.
