Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Technologist, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes through real-time neural monitoring. This exciting position involves collaborating closely with surgical teams to provide continuous assessment of neurological function during complex procedures. Your expertise will help prevent neurological deficits, support surgical decision-making, and enhance patient recovery. If you are passionate about neurophysiology and thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patient care. Duties Perform intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring using advanced techniques such as somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEPs), motor evoked potentials (MEPs), electromyography (EMG), and other modalities to assess neural pathway integrity during surgeries. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room staff to establish monitoring protocols tailored to each procedure's needs. Continuously observe and interpret real-time neurophysiological data, alerting the surgical team immediately to any changes that may indicate neural compromise. Maintain detailed documentation of intraoperative findings, including baseline recordings, procedural events, and post-procedure reports for accurate medical records. Ensure all monitoring equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and ready for use prior to surgeries. Monitor vital signs and physiological parameters relevant to neurophysiological assessments, such as blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and temperature. Stay current with advancements in neurodiagnostic technology and participate in ongoing training to uphold the highest standards of intraoperative neuromonitoring. Requirements Proven experience in intraoperative neuromonitoring within a Level I Trauma Center or Level II trauma environment is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to nervous system function. Proficiency with computed tomography (CT) imaging techniques and interpretation skills are advantageous. Familiarity with neurocritical care practices and emergency medicine protocols to respond effectively during critical moments. Ability to interpret diagnostic evaluations accurately and adapt monitoring strategies accordingly. Experience working in high-pressure settings where quick decision-making is essential for patient safety. Excellent communication skills for clear collaboration with multidisciplinary teams during complex surgeries. Join us in delivering exceptional intraoperative care that safeguards neurological health! This role offers an engaging environment where your expertise directly impacts patient outcomes while working alongside dedicated healthcare professionals committed to excellence.
