Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Travel Nestled in the heart of California's Central Valley, Shafter offers a blend of small-town charm, agricultural beauty, and proximity to exciting destinations—making it an exceptional place for travelers to expand their careers while discovering new locales. This travel role presents a unique opportunity for experienced Imaging professionals specializing in Cath Lab technology. By supporting a busy cardiac and vascular program with five suites, you'll become proficient in diverse procedures—from coronary and peripheral interventions to general IR and neuro cases—working alongside skilled healthcare teams with a variety of leadership styles. This environment not only strengthens your technical skills but also broadens your adaptability, deepening your resume with complex, high-impact cases and advanced procedural workflows.
Schedule/Hours:
Rotate one call night per week for inpatient/emergent cases Call one weekend per month (Friday evening through Monday morning; subject to change based on unit needs)Qualifications:
Minimum requirements: ARRT, Fluoro, BLS certifications (RCIS or CCT not accepted) Previous Cath Lab experience (no first-time travelers) Proficiency with conscious/moderate sedation, procedural process, airway management, and administration of cardiac drips (e.g., Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors) Experience operating balloon pumps and handling high case volumes (average 10-22 cases/day) Ability to work within a dynamic team (2-tech case model, with possible 4th team member per procedure) Comfortable with varying assignments led by a 'Lead Tech' and working in suites specializing in coronary, peripheral, vascular, neuro, and EP casesResponsibilities:
Scrubbing and monitoring hemodynamics for a range of cardiac and vascular cases Collaborating with RNs (who manage conscious sedation) Rotating room assignments and adapting to unique daily case mixes Ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging standards throughout proceduresPerks and Benefits:
