Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Travel This opportunity is for an experienced Imaging Cath Lab Technologist specializing in cardiovascular procedures, located in Arvada, CO. The role focuses on supporting a busy cardiac catheterization lab with 2 cath suites, 2 electrophysiology labs, and 1 hybrid room, managing an average of 10-20 cases daily. This travel position offers the chance to work with complex cases such as STEMI, cardiogenic shock, CAD, PAD, and atrial arrhythmias.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in scrub, monitor, and circulating roles within the cath lab Provide expert support in cardiovascular procedures with a strong emphasis on STEMI and EP experience Utilize EMR systems, primarily EPIC, during cardiology interventions Support on-call rotations approximately 8-10 hours per six-week pay period Participate in unit-specific orientation and adhere to department dress codes
Qualifications and Required Certifications:
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (R) preferred; if not held, must obtain Colorado Fluoroscopy license (approx. one week to obtain) Solid experience in cardiovascular and EP labs is essential
Schedule and On-Call:
4x10 hour shifts with options for block and self-scheduling Call rotation includes 1-2 weeknights and 2 weekend shifts every 6 weeks; holiday call required Call response time is 30 minutes Floating within the department only under extreme need
Additional Details:
Hiring process includes profile review and interview with the unit manager Clinicians must be in state for orientation week, even if some modules are remote Travel distance radius for assignments is 60 miles
