Job Description
Cardiac Device Specialist Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $26.50 - $39.75 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week Boulder Community Health is seeking a Cardiac Device Specialist who is responsible for the clinical, technical, and educational aspects related to the care of those patients who have implanted cardiac devices. They perform device checks and remote monitoring of implanted cardiac devices, and well as post implant site checks.

- International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification in Devices is required.
- Clinical Cardiac Device Specialist certification preferred
- Experience with implantable cardiac devices, device programmers, and device interrogation preferred.
- On-the-job training related to device programming and management, or prior experience as a cardiac device representative with a cardiac device vendor required Responsibilities
- Implements essential patient teaching elements, and serves as a resource for patient concerns and questions, upon hospital discharge, and throughout device/patient lifetime.
- Oversees post procedural appointments for cardiac device generator replacements, and new implants. Incorporates patient and family education, and the Surgical Site Infection (SSI) strategies reflective of Surgical Care Infection Prevention (SCIP) and Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) best practices.
- Provides patient education and troubleshooting to promote and maintain remote patient follow-up by trans-telephonic monitoring
- Responsible for trouble-shooting, evaluating and interpreting technical and arrhythmia information upon interrogation of the implanted cardiac device, and subsequent physician communication About Boulder Community Health Boulder Community Health (BCH) is a not-for-profit healthcare organization based in Boulder, Colorado, serving the Boulder County community.
