Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs delegated functions as a member of a patient care team to provide a variety of services. The main function of these activities is to assist patients in order to provide comfort, support and maintain patient safety while contributing to their overall healthcare. These functions are always performed in accordance with all existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies and procedures and the PCT will report to the Unit Manager.
Qualifications Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent Effective communication skills CPR (American Heart Association) BLS Certification as nursing assistant- CNA, Medical Assistant or EMT preferred. Matriculation in a nursing program encouraged. Demonstrated competencies in a related field at Hartford Hospital will be considered.
