Job Description

Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Contract A healthcare opportunity is available for a skilled professional with expertise in cardiac imaging and catheterization laboratory technology. This role offers a full-time schedule with important on-call duties, perfect for individuals who thrive in dynamic clinical environments and want to use their specialized skills.
Location:
Positioned in Meriden, CT, this role provides an excellent setting for healthcare professionals who appreciate a community setting with access to the broader New England region's resources and lifestyle.
Schedule/Hours:
40 hours per week Shift options: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and/or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On-call responsibilities every third weekend and two weekdays, with weekends on call only every other week
Qualifications and Certifications:
RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RT(R) (Registered Radiologic Technologist) Current ASRT certification Valid CT Department of Public Health (DPH) license ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications are mandatory
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations with precision and care Operate and maintain cath lab imaging equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety Collaborate closely with cardiologists and nursing staff to provide superior patient care Adhere strictly to established protocols and standards in a high-pressure environment This contract position offers a meaningful chance to contribute to patient outcomes in cardiac care using advanced technology in an esteemed healthcare setting.
