Will consider clinical rotations during a formal educational program as experience. License/Certifications ARDMS- RVT or CCI(RVS) Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Performs most modalities of peripheral vascular studies (i.e. duplex imaging, Doppler and plethysmography of upper and lower extremity vasculature, abdominal viscera, carotid vasculature and/or intracranial vessels). Performs vascular lab procedures using independent judgement during the exam to accurately differentiate between normal and abnormal findings. Exams must follow IAC approved scanning protocol and the Smart Protocols must be utilized when possible. Reviews images and paperwork to ensure quality exams are complete, thorough and prepared for review by reading physicians. Rotates to multiple vascular lab locations as scheduled and required by the IAC. Participates in the daily workflow by watching the technologist worklist to ensure timely patient care. Schedules exams through the transport system if applicable. Participates in the Vascular Lab after hours, on-call, weekend and holiday schedules. Operates all vascular lab testing equipment and software packages including but not limited to ultrasound and physiological equipment, EMR and Structured Reporting and PACS. Proficient in the use of telephone, printers, and fax machines. Reports any equipment issues to the appropriate personnel and removes equipment from service. Cleans the equipment and work areas daily and stocks rooms with supplies and linen. Attends staff and departmental meetings as well as educational conferences. Participates in the discussions. Keeps abreast of changes in the field and participates in collecting data, images and articles as necessary. #direct
