1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cardiology/Electrophysiology Tech with at least 1 year of EP Lab experience for a travel contract at a top 50 heart and vascular center and academic teaching hospital. Details Work in a dedicated Electrophysiology Lab within a 748-bed short-term acute care, academic teaching hospital recognized as a top 50 heart and vascular center in the country Procedures include cardiac electrophysiology studies, head-up-tilt tests, cardioversions, internal loop recorder implants, atrial flutter/fibrillation ablations, SVT ablations, VT ablations, device implants (Watchman, Aveir, pacemaker, defibrillator), and device explants/lead extractions Average daily caseload of 18 cases Charting via Cerner and GE Cardiolab; Cerner experience required Medications administered via Pyxis 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with 2 days of late case coverage per week No on-call or weekend requirements No floating requirement Requirements Minimum of 1 year of EP Lab clinical experience required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CCI RCES or RCIS Preferred certifications: ARRT and Fluoroscopy Permit Required equipment experience: Philips X-Ray machine, Siemens X-Ray machine, and GE Micropacer Preferred equipment experience: 3D mapping systems (Biosense, Abbott/ESI), GE/Abbott EP4, ViewMate ultrasound, Siemens ultrasound, GE ultrasound, and laser lead machine Required skills: EP Lab hemodynamic monitoring and ablations, EKG interpretation (sinus node rhythms), inpatient and outpatient settings, and obtaining vitals Preferred skills: Groin closure device, peripheral procedures, and laser lead extraction Preferred work setting background: trauma or children's hospital experience License required if applicable 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are considered provided they meet the required EP Lab experience Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; candidates within 60 miles should contact American Traveler for rate details Flu vaccine is required for all staff at this facility Scrubs are provided Any time-off or scheduling requests should be submitted at the time of initial application
