Job Description
- Become a part of our caring community
- The Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography.
- Work location: CenterWell Altamonte; 360 Douglas Avenue; Altamonte Springs, FL 32714
Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer Job Functions:
- + Be able to interact and communicate effectively - both orally and in writing - with healthcare providers, including other Sonographers, Physicians, and Nurses + Be well-versed in Medical Terminology + Be capable of explaining the purpose of the Echocardiographic examination to the patient and answering patients' questions + Be aware of proper infection control, including precautionary procedures + Be familiar with, and in compliance with, relevant laws regarding patient confidentiality and privacy + Be competent in first aid and certified in Basic Life Support + ARDMS and/or CCI certifications are maintained and up to date + Performs 2D echo with color flow Doppler exam in ≤ 45 minutes + Sonographer consistently demonstrates good judgment with regard to use of echo contrast + Consistent patient preparation, including evaluation of requisition or medical record + Preparation of exam room, identification of patient, infection control procedures (i.

- Required Qualifications
- + Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent and, as individual states require, accreditation through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) + Certification as an Ultra-Sound Technician (or equivalent) with 1+ years' experience in a diagnostic facility or hospital as an Ultrasound Technician + High School Diploma or GED + This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program + If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB + Must be a team player with excellent communication skills •Preferred Qualifications•+ Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment + Experience with MS Outlook + Basic Computer knowledge + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences •$5K Sign on Bonus•Scheduled Weekly Hours•40 •Pay Range•The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
