Cardiac Sonographer 635 Eichenfeld Drive, Brandon, FL 33511 Part-time, Per diem Part-time, Per diem Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cardiac Sonographer to join our cardiovascular imaging team. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced sonography techniques to produce high-quality images of the heart and surrounding structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise will contribute to life-saving procedures, including interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization, within a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside skilled cardiologists and healthcare professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a Level I Trauma Center setting. Duties Perform comprehensive echocardiograms and specialized cardiac ultrasound procedures, including stress tests and transesophageal studies. Assist with interventional radiology procedures and cardiac catheterizations by providing real-time imaging guidance. Monitor vital signs and physiological parameters during procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal imaging conditions. Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection during invasive or semi-invasive procedures. Evaluate diagnostic images for quality, accuracy, and completeness, ensuring they meet clinical standards for interpretation. Document all procedures meticulously, including patient history, technical details, and findings in electronic medical records. Collaborate with cardiologists and other medical staff to interpret results and support diagnostic evaluations for complex cardiac conditions. Experience Proven experience as a Cardiac Sonographer or Echocardiographer in a hospital or clinical setting, preferably within a Level I Trauma Center or emergency medicine environment. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to cardiovascular health. Hands-on experience with interventional cardiology procedures such as cardiac catheterization and interventions within the cath lab environment. Familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems and emergency response protocols in high-acuity settings like Level II trauma centers. Demonstrated ability to operate sonography equipment effectively while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Knowledge of aseptic techniques essential for invasive procedures and managing patients in critical care environments. Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail during diagnostic evaluations. Join us in making a difference through innovative cardiac imaging!
