Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Travel Embark on a rewarding assignment as a Cath Lab Technologist, contributing vital expertise in imaging and patient care. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals experienced in cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures, ready to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging and assist during interventional cardiovascular cases.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS) certification required Current state licensure, as applicable Demonstrated experience in Cath Lab environments, including familiarity with imaging equipment, sterile procedures, and fluoroscopic techniques BLS and ACLS certifications (active and up-to-date) Proficiency with monitoring and assisting during catheterizations, angiograms, angioplasties, and other cardiovascular procedures Strong understanding of radiation safety and contrast administration Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment used in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures Assist physicians during procedures by providing real-time imaging and technical support Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures Prepare and monitor patients, managing medical records and procedural documentation accurately Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate optimal patient care Adhere to strict protocols for infection control and radiation protection Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized laboratory environment This contract position is an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare team, specializing in the latest cardiac imaging technologies and procedures.
