1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a day shift contract role requiring a minimum of 1 year of IR experience, with eligibility extended to first-time travelers. Details Interventional Radiology unit in an acute care hospital setting 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday with a variable day off, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM Call requirement includes 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend rotation based on staffing volume May float to Cath Lab and EP within scope of practice as needed Local candidates are accepted Requirements Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required Active professional licensure required at time of consideration, if applicable Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are strongly preferred — some units require two on file for review No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests will be considered — the posted shift is firm Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler RTO is capped at 7 days and cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment If 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work those holidays with no holiday RTO permitted; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work 2, and 1 holiday RTO request may be submitted for approval Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day Candidates undergo a clinical screening process to assess clinical fit prior to manager review Full compliance must be completed on time; delays may result in a 2-week start date pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule Travel pairs will not be placed on the same shift within the same unit
