1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of IR experience and required ARRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications for a 12-week contract. Details Interventional Radiology unit in an acute care hospital setting Patient population spans pediatrics through geriatrics 4 procedure rooms with an average daily census of 25 patients 5x8-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Weekends are on-call only Call responsibilities are shared equally among contract staff (approximately 1 in 4 rotation) May float within the facility per scope of practice as needed Epic EMR experience required; also uses Pyxis and SBAR Scrubs provided by the facility Requirements Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology Tech experience required Active BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) certifications required Proficiency with Epic EMR required License required if applicable Must be able to work with a pediatric through geriatric patient population First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Additional Information Local candidates are accepted for this position Travelers who have worked at any facility in this health system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them and no holiday RTO will be approved; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day No alternate shift or schedule change requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm Two supervisory references (manager level or above) are highly preferred; charge nurse references are not accepted Candidates undergo a clinical review prior to manager consideration Full compliance must be completed on time; delays may result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
